I like to travel. It’s actually, probably, my favorite thing to do. I also love having interesting conversations. That’s definitely my favorite thing to do.
In 2021, I was visiting Yelapa, Mexico for an extended time and I kept meeting all these interesting people. I was like, I need a place to store all these stories, they’re fascinating. I also keep this deck called “Medicine Cards,” where each animal represents a message, similar to Tarot. When I was in Yelapa, I’d draw a card each day, and I kept drawing “The Whale.” Essentially, it’s “the swimming library.” And I noticed…each time I drew the Whale, I’d meet someone that day with a wonderful story. Magic.
Thus we have: Tales from the Whale.
We’re now years later, and I’ve since visited: Denmark, Spain, Finland, Sedona Arizona, coastal Massachusetts, and the beautiful bathrooms of Bryant Park in New York City. I’ve also spent extended time in Italy, Portugal, and Morocco, which are multi-part stories.
